Our Beliefs Background

Our Beliefs

Our faith is built on the solid foundation of God's Word. Here are the core beliefs that guide our church and shape our ministry.

Statement of Faith

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God and the final authority for all matters of faith and practice. These beliefs form the foundation of our church.

The Holy Scriptures

We believe the Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is our final authority in all matters of faith, doctrine, and Christian living.

2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:20-21

The Triune God

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each person of the Trinity is fully God, yet there is one God. God is sovereign, holy, loving, and just.

Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14, 1 John 5:7

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose from the dead, and ascended to heaven. He is our Lord and Savior.

John 1:1, 14; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Romans 1:4

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity, who convicts of sin, regenerates, sanctifies, and empowers believers for Christian living and service. He indwells every believer from the moment of salvation.

John 16:8-11; Titus 3:5; 1 Corinthians 6:19

Salvation

We believe salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. It is a free gift from God, not earned by good works. All who repent of their sins and trust in Jesus Christ are saved and have eternal life.

Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 10:9-10; John 3:16

The Church

We believe the Church is the body of Christ, composed of all believers. The local church exists to worship God, build up believers, and reach the lost. We practice believer's baptism by immersion and regular communion.

1 Corinthians 12:27; Ephesians 4:11-16; Matthew 28:19-20

The Second Coming

We believe in the personal, visible return of Jesus Christ to earth. He will judge the living and the dead, establish His kingdom, and believers will spend eternity with Him in heaven.

Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 20:11-15

Sabbath Observance

As a Seventh Day Sabbath Church, we believe in observing the Sabbath from Friday evening to Saturday evening, as commanded by God and practiced by Jesus and the apostles. The Sabbath is a day of rest, worship, and spiritual renewal.

Rest

A time to cease from regular work and find physical and spiritual rest

Worship

A special time for corporate and personal worship of our Creator

Fellowship

Quality time with family, friends, and the church community

"Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God."

Exodus 20:8-10
